Brief About the Places

Florida’s Walt Disney World is situated near Kissimmee and Orlando. The resort technically resides in the Walt Disney Corporation-controlled cities of Bay Lake, Florida, and Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Nearly the size of San Francisco, the 39 sq mi 101 km2 Walt Disney World Resort is home to four theme parks, two waterparks, more than 130 restaurants, a dozen Disney hotels, and an endless array of shows, shops, characters, rides, and attractions.

There is really no way to see Walt Disney World in a reasonable amount of time. Ten-day vacations are easily filled at the resort. There is always so much to do at Walt Disney World, from rides to dining to ticketed events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!

Most Famous Parks

  • The Magic Kingdom is the park that houses Cinderella Castle. This is the theme park with Main Street America, Liberty Square, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, and Fantasyland. Classic rides like “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “it’s a small world” can be found there. It is the park that is perceived as being the most “kid-friendly” of the parks.
  • Animal Kingdom at Disney is more than just a zoo. Our favourite park is this one, which is also the location of the well-known Pandora: The World of Avatar. Avatar Flight of Passage, a family ride, TriceraTop Spin, and Kilimanjaro Safaris are among the park’s unique attractions.
  • Universal Studios is where The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is located, along with Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge (Star Wars Land).
  • There are eleven themed areas honouring the cultures of eleven different countries located in Epcot’s World Showcase.

Free Transit System

Bus service is available almost everywhere you need to go. You’ll be better off taking a boat, monorail, Skyliner, or walking between some locations. With the exception of the Minnie Vans, all transportation through Disney is free. In essence, Minnie Vans are a Lyft service that runs between specific Walt Disney World locations.

Hotels

There are three “tiers” of Disney Hotels. Hotels that are owned and managed by Disney are known as “Disney hotels.” Hotels run by someone other than Disney are referred to as “non-Disney hotels.” You can choose and pre-book your hotels as per your budget and convenience.

The roughly 25 Disney-operated hotels at Walt Disney World can be divided into three categories: value, moderate, and deluxe. The categories, as you might expect, correspond to various price ranges, with value resorts starting at about $125 per night, moderates at about $250, and deluxes at about $450.

Food and Dining

The term “ADRs,” short for “Advance Dining Reservations,” refers to dining reservations made at Walt Disney World restaurants. 180 days in advance is the cutoff for ADR reservations. There are many restaurants with a Michelin Star Rating here and you can choose to dine at any of these restaurants or eat at a street burger or pizza joint.

Tickets

Prices for Disney World tickets start at $109 and go up to $189 in 2022. A 6.5% sales tax is not included in this. However, ticket prices can really add up when you include extras like Park Hopper, Memory Maker, or Water Park and Sports. You can also get Annual Passes to enjoy the magic of Walt Disney all year round. These passes are limited to a few theme parks inside only.
